TIPS TO ACQUIRING CUSTOMER REVIEWS

In the field of custom work, Customer reviews are the life blood of you business. I will help lay out some of the customer relation tools I use daily to help drive a positive experience for my clients, which then can lead to positive reviews. Reviews can be more valuable to your business, then google ad cents.

#1 Express excitement in the project you are working on for the client, You are in the custom space, which means you chose a business that you not only have talent in but also enjoy doing. So express that enjoyment and excitement with the client.

I love making fun creative ideas come to life for my clients, and I enjoy listening to how my clients come up with the ideas for their creative ideas. Be honest and genuine though, because not every project will be exciting.

#2 Be personable, This might be a difficult one for some of you. But I cannot stress how important it is to not only be professional, but also approachable. In the custom business you are working with tools or materials most people won't have any idea about. They may ask questions that seem logical to you, but is not to them. Learn to speak with your clients in a clear kind way that they can understand.

#3 Provide a quality product, a person is 10x more likely to leave a bad review when upset, then they are to write a review when they are happy. Always ask yourself would you be happy with the result you produced, if the answer is no. Then redo it correctly, even though we work on schedules, I assure you a client would rather it be finished past due then for it to be badly made.

#4 Encourage a review, You must reach out to the client when finishing up the project, and ask them if they had a positive experience with your service, and if so how important it would be to you. If they could take a moment of their time to leave an honest review. Most clients who enjoy your service, want you to succeed. If your succeeding then they know you will still be in business down the road when they will require your services again.

Don't be afraid to ask, you'd be surprised how many people just do not think about leaving a review till its mentioned. And they are usually very happy you did.

I hope these tips help you on your journey to success in the custom work space.

"I think the foremost quality—there's no success without it—is really loving what you do. If you love it, you do it well, and there's no success if you don't do well what you're working at." - Malcolm Forbes.
